2011 Senior Awards

Our annual awards evening has wrapped up another season of football in Matamata. In a low key, yet at times entertaining, event at the Horse & Jockey Inn, all the usual team and club awards were handed out.

One of the highlights of the evening was the club's decision to retire the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies team's number 7, in honour of retiring club legend, Natalie Gaskell. Gaskell has been a member of the club for 26 years and has scored 456 senior goals for the Swifts Ladies.
