Saturday May 13 Matamata Dragons 1 v Huntly Thistle 8 The 9th grade Matamata Dragons played a well drilled Huntly Thistle side at home on Saturday and were defeated 8 - 1 with David Murray scoring the Dragons only goal and earning player of the day. Blake Bottomley also had his best game so far, working well in defence and attack. The team was down 6-0 at the break so played very well in the second half. Saturday May 6 Matamata Dragons 7 v Ngaruawahia 2 On Saturday the Matamata Dragons 9th grade team played Ngaruawahia 9 away and had a convincing 7 - 2 win. Goal scorers were Bradley Rodler 5 & Cullen Tappin 2, with Bradley being named player of the day. Saturday April 29 Matamata Dragons 1 v Newstead 0 The 9th grade Matamata Dragons had a good 1-0 win over their Newstead opponents with Cullen Tappin scoring the winning goal. There were also great games from Brady (player of the day), Bradley, Tyler & David. |
