Matamata Swifts Ladies 5 v Wanderers 0
Matamata Ladies did battle with Hamilton team Wanderers at the
domain on Sunday.
It was a curly start as Matamata found it hard to settle. They came into
their own after the first goal was scored. It was then the team fired
up. Jenny Bird played out of her skin as did Rachel Haskew and Annie Stephens.
Wanderers put in some hard tackles but to no avail. They had many shots
at goal but Matamata showed excellent goalkeeping skills in the first
half by Rebecca Stephens and second half Victoria McLain.
As the end the game finished 5-0 to Matamata. Goal scorers Nat Gaskell
3 and Ally Parlane 2.
Player of the day went to Kristina Johnson for her outstanding efforts
throughout the game.
