It
was a dream of hope that our opponents wouldn't show and an easy victory
owould be taken. Not to be unfortunately as before kick off a van
pulls up as our fit young opponents jump out. Time for a team talk
guys!
So we kicked-off a little over time but it wouldn't have mattered
as the end result shows. In all fairness to our lads we had the opposition
stumped at half time all square 1-1, and they had only slotted one
in seconds before the half time whistle.
For the first few moments of second half we had them thinking again
with a couple of great plays, then some wicked shooting from the Mad
Afroz and some unforgiveable deflections saw them stroll ahead.
Our boys tried their best and that's all you can ask. We had them
stumped and on the back foot at times, but they are a far fitter team
and can play some good football.
Our men of the match went to a combined pair that play well in what
they are asked of - Cameron and Ian.
Goal scorers:- Bevan and Mike.
Now the hopes of cup glory is gone it's time to do what we do best
and concentrate on the league. |
