Swifts players power South to win

Three Matamata Swifts players have helped the South side to a 7-3 victory over the North in the 2008 Federation League All Star Game. Both Andre Freitas and Andy Birchenough, who captained the side, got on the score sheet, while Daniel Frischknecht (pictured above) made some telling contributions down the right. Ex-Swift, Neil Slater, scored twice for the North team. More match pics here

The match, hosted by Taupo AFC, was a well run event and was played on a superb Crown Park surface. Well done to everyone involved with the Taupo club and congratulations on a wonderful end to another superb season by the Lakesiders.
