Matamata
Swifts AGM a quiet affair
Our Annual General Meeting reflected the positive state in which
the club currently resides. President, Peter Challis, presented an up
beat report on the year just gone along with his thoughts for the next
twelve months. The club's accounts showed an increase in turnover as well
as an extremely positive asset listing.
There was little change in management committee positions as the club
opted to maintain the current steady ship. The only movement saw secretary
of three years, Jenny Bird, move into a more general committee role. Jean
Thornton is the new secretary. Visit the committee page for more
information.
As there was no general business tabled, the only remaining issue to be
sorted out was the setting of playing fees for the 2005 season. It was
agreed that senior fees will remain the same as for 2004, while junior
fees will increase slightly (see the membership page).
Everything is now in place for an exciting 75th Jubilee season in 2005.
We hope you decide to come along for the ride.
